Air-entraining agents can also reduce the surface tension of a fresh\u00a0cement composition\u00a0at low concentration, increase the workability of fresh concrete, and reduce segregation and bleeding.\u00a0Air-entraining agents are added in an amount of about 0.001\u20130.1\u00a0wt%, based on the weight of\u00a0dry cement\u00a0to yield a desired level of air in a cement composition.
